FLORENTINO PEREZ is dreaming of completely overhauling his front three this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Attacking trio Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo and have proven incredibly successful, with the three Champions League triumphs in their four seasons together.
However, their struggles in this campaign have convinced the Real Madrid president the time for change has come.
And Marca claim Perez wants a new front line made up of Neymar, Eden Hazard and Robert Lewandowski as the new No 9.
The three have been Los Blancos targets for a while now and this summer may be the right time for the European champions to make their move.
Real Madrid haven’t made a “Galactico” signing since bringing in James Rodriguez in 2014, but are looking to add more glamour to their side after big-money signings by Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
Meanwhile, former Los Blancos president Ramon Calderson claims his former club are leaking links with top superstars to appease fans unhappy with the team’s performances.
Speaking to Le Parisien, he said: “It is a strategy Real Madrid have always used to distract supporters from the problems on the pitch and sell them dreams for the next season.
“When these stories break in the newspapers, the club are keen to see the reaction of the people.
“They want to know what fans would make of the arrival of Neymar meaning the departure of Cristiano.”
However, Calderon insists the club wouldn’t be making noises about wanting to sign the world’s most expensive player if they weren’t confident they could get him.
He added: “But it’s not just a diversion.
“If Real Madrid have allowed this news to get out, it’s because they know they can complete this signing.
“I believe they know he has a release clause, that they can afford to pay it and that the player wants to come.”
